1. Everyone is a Community Member
Folkora is designed around real places, shared local history, and neighborhood connection. We reject influencer hierarchies and algorithmic engagement bait. On Folkora, everyone is an equal community member.
2. Place Ground Truth & Boundaries
No Fake Places: Every place in Folkora must correspond to a verifiable physical space in the real world.
Strictly No Private Residences: Private homes, apartments, condo units, and personal family dwellings must NEVER be submitted as community places. Residential address attempts are automatically screened and rejected to protect neighbors' privacy and peace.
No Duplicate Submissions: Check for existing places before submitting a new proposal.
3. Signal Integrity & Anti-Manipulation
Community recognition, First Discoveries, and Marks represent authentic local contributions. You are strictly prohibited from artificially inflating:
- Story Views and Shares through automated bots or scripts.
- Saved Story Bookmarks through coordinated fake accounts to trigger milestone recognition.
- Place Submissions or Discoveries through trivial or fabricated variations.
- Community Marks through coordinated or automated rings.
4. Respect and Neighborhood Safety
Hate speech, harassment, intimidation, doxing, and encouragement of illegal trespassing are strictly prohibited. Violations will lead to content removal and permanent account deactivation.
